WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS
Provide technical support to Engineers during the design and implementation of Manufacturing Processes for a production facility. They possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job/environment and work under the close direction of senior personnel in the departmental area.Our Engineering Technician new hires can make up to:
- $32-35 per hour depending on experience!
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support the development and implementation of process for planned products.
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements for active products - DOE directives.
- Supports the Standardization of process in the given work station, including new product process kickoff.
- Execute Process Engineer Directives in an efficient and timely manner.
- Monitor metrics related to production performance including, but not limited to:
- SPC monitoring of Key Processes
- Production throughput
- Maintain working knowledge of existing production equipment capabilities.
- Documents test procedures and results.
- Support Lean and 5S initiatives.
- Serve as a technical resource for production and solves routine technical problems.
- Supports line clearance duties and changeovers, new part setup of machine centers, and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in efforts to reduce the Company’s cost of scrap.
- Be able to support multiple directives set forth by Process Engineer as they present themselves
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years previous machining experience relative to department in setup, changeover, and troubleshooting aptitude
- Comfortable with machine code and hand programming as necessary.
- Must exhibit a solid knowledge of inspection tools and machine tooling applications
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to use basic computer programs such as MS Excel

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work in the following work environment:
- High noise levels from machinery.
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
- Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
- Skin exposed to oils and cutting fluids.
Must wear personal protection equipment as required including, but not limited to, hearing protection, non-slip shoes, safety glasses. All offers are contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug screen.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to move and transport 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be able to maintain a stationary position for the entire shift.
- Must be able to work shift hours and days as assigned
